This was the last locomotive I wanted to photograph that was involved in a head on collision in Clarendon, TX on 29 May, 2002. The other three units involved were BNSF SD70MAC 8876, totally destroyed, BNSF C44-9W 4385, in which the engineer was fatally wounded, and the fourth unit was BNSF C44-9W 4566. As far as I know BNSF 8876 and 4385 were the only two scrapped. |
